Christina Wallace, L.Ac DiplAc

Christina Wallace graduated from the American Institute of Alternative Medicine’s Masters Acupuncture program. She received the highest honors of summa cum laude. In addition to formal schooling and her year spent working in the student clinic, she interned in the offices of her mentor and advisor, Dr. Shixi Chen L.Ac. Christina also spent a summer completing a rigorous internship at the Beijing Integrated Hospital of Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing, China.  Christina is nationally certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as well as being licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board.

Christina had grown up with the knowledge that she wanted to be a doctor, to serve and heal others. What she hadn’t known was that while studying pre-med at UC Berkeley in California she would discover Traditional Chinese Medicine through a Medical Anthropology class. This was enough to spark her interest, until her senior year when she was involved in a serious car accident. Every doctor she saw after that accident could find no answers or cure for her headaches, vertigo and the sudden loss of her sense of smell. But then she went to see an acupuncturist and within a few treatments the headaches and dizziness were gone and she slowly started regaining her sense of smell. After this miraculous recovery Christina knew that Traditional Chinese Medicine was the medicine she should be practicing.
